Gabinet Echeverría

Emilio Echeverría
Emilio Echeverría
Emilio Echeverría started his professional career in 1946. In 1959 he created AGORA (Gabinet Echeverría), evoking the Greek forum where the elders argued and discussed their cities' financial and social problems. In 1972 he was named Secretary of the Spanish Institute of Chartered Accountancy Auditors, a position he occupied for 12 years. Afterwards, in 1983, he was elected by consensus as Representative of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisers for Catalonia and the Balearic Islands , later becoming its National Vice-president in 1991. He undertook both positions for a period of four years. Also in 1983 Emilio was designated until 1994 to be the President of the Chartered Accountancy Auditors Professional Associaton of Catalonia. Chartered member (1977) and Secretary (1987) of the Antonio Lancuentra Foundation, an organization dedicated to the scientific study of tributary rights.

Convinced of the need to provide increasingly an integrated set of advisory services, and joined by his son Fsc. Xavier Echeverría, Emilio was selected to become the Spanish representative of SC INTERNATIONAL now NEXIA, an association of independent accountancy and legal advisory firms, with worldwide associations in more than 50 countries.

In 1997, wanting to offer an improved service, he initiated a merger process with Bufete Casanovas-Matosas, which culminated in 2000 with the integration of Gabinete Gimeno. This triple alliance created Laudis Consultor with the same spirit and impulse which founded AGORA.
